In-Between

Dust bunnies gather in the gap at my side,

a world of forgotten, where dreams try to hide.

Tossing and turning, thoughts spill and collide,

reaching for whispers that I’ve pushed aside.

Each night becomes endless, the darkness, a friend,

as worries and wishes entwine without end.

A space full of echoes, both haunted and free,

where I find the lost pieces that won’t let me be.

In the space between dreams, I reach for the light,

a flicker of hope in the depths of the night.

Yet the shadows grow longer, they clutch at my heart,

as I search for the solace that’s torn me apart.
