Flickering Shadows

The glow seeps through the cracks of the door,

A yellowed light spilling secrets once more.

Flickers of dreams in the hush of the night,

Ghosts of my childhood, still taking flight.

Each shadow that dances, a phantom of dread,

Reminding me gently of things left unsaid.

Half-forgotten whispers wrap tightly around,

As the nightlight flickers, I'm lost, not yet found.
