Flickering Truths

In the dark, I grasp for the light, it flickers,

A beam that wanes, as my heart slowly bickers.

Shadows stretch long, a dance of dismay,

Each pulse of the bulb, a word lost, gone astray.

My thoughts spiral round, like the flicker of doubt,

Navigating the dark, where secrets are clout.

The flashlight sputters, but still I persist,

Searching for clarity, though clarity’s missed.
