The Weight of Gifts Unearned

A message pings, 'I found this for you!'

a delicate figurine, so fragile, adorned,

each curve a kindness I can't comprehend,

I’m surprised by how it feels in my palm,

a weight of grace I didn’t think I deserved.

It sits now on my shelf, a silent reminder,

of someone’s thoughtfulness, an unearned gift,

while I wrestle with the echo of my worth,

can I really hold this beauty, without shame,

a testament to kindness, caught in glass?
