Forgotten Maintenance

In the garage, a rusted bike waits,

the chain thick with green moss, lost in its fate.

Promises once made, forgotten like dust,

time’s slow decay turns love into rust.

Beneath layers of sorrow,

memories cling, peeling paint and sorrow,

a tarnished glory, in a dim, quiet room,

a ghost of adventure, now tangled in gloom.

Once a beacon of freedom, wheels in the air,

now stands as a testament, to neglect and despair.

The green creeps in, settles like doubt,

the bright days of sunshine, faded, worn out.
