The Unopened Letter

A letter forgotten, between pages it stayed,

words woven with love that now slowly fade.

Yellowed and fragile, yet my fingers caress,

a testament lingered, a heart’s soft confess.

Every inked promise, a memory sealed,

once full of passion, now painfully revealed.

It rests in the silence, like whispers of night,

the echoes of laughter, now lost from the light.

And still I hold close what time cannot take,

the ghost of a story, a choice not to break.
