Time's Grime

The neighbor’s fence, a weary sight,
rust blooms like memories in the fading light.
Patches of orange, stark ‘gainst the gray,
tell tales of sunshine now lost in decay.
Life once so bright, now dulled and confined,
clinging to echoes of dreams left behind.
In the quiet decay, I find something real,
a testament to time that’s lost its appeal.
