A grocery list curled, ink smudged and frayed,
clings to the fridge like memories stayed.
Half-finished tasks echo in cramped lines,
reminders of dinners, the push of designs.
Hummed conversations float from the heat,
as meals warm slowly, the clock skips a beat.
My family’s laughter dances on paper,
a map of the mundane, our daydreams escape her.
