Veil of Anticipation

In the quiet murmur, the lights dim low,

a velvet curtain draws, the whispers flow.

Shadows stretch long, anticipating fate,

hearts beat softly, echoing wait.

The air is thick, as time curls and bends,

memories flicker, some broken, some mends.

In this pocket of night, silence a friend,

yearning for the moment when darkness will end.
