Boundaries and Freedom

Through the chain-link fence, laughter weaves light,

kids run like wildflowers, into the night.

A creaking hinge echoes, the past intertwined,

where boundaries blur, and freedom can bind.

Each rusted link tells stories of pain,

of promises made in the drizzle of rain.

Yet hope tumbles freely, like leaves on the ground,

a delicate balance where truths can be found.

I watch them play on the other side clear,

those innocent voices, a sound I hold dear.

In the sway of the breeze, unresolved they spin,

a reminder that life is both loss and a win.
