Stormy Thresholds

The screen door rattles, a whispering fright,

a summer storm brews, thunder grips the night.

With each gust, its creaking frames sigh,

recalling the moments when storms passed us by.

Rain taps the glass, a rhythm so sweet,

while shadows dance wildly, the world’s heartbeat.

This familiar rattle, like echoes of past,

reminds me of days where the good times amassed.
