Lessons from the Edge

I tossed my work badge into the light,

watching it shimmer as I took flight.

Each step away felt heavy yet free,

leaving the weight of a job’s decree.

The void whispers now, a soft kind of ache,

a lesson learned through every mistake.

The bonds I let go, brittle as twine,

became the roots of the path I define.

There’s power in saying enough is enough,

when the weight of the world feels heavy and rough.

With courage, I dance in the space that I’ve won,

transforming the end into a place to rerun.
