Sprinkled Surprises

Outside, the sprinklers erupt with a laugh,

as I wander the garden, caught in their path.

Droplets surprise me, a cool mist of chance,

the world spins in water, a spontaneous dance.

Laughter floats over, from children nearby,

while the sun glistens bright in the summer sky.

I’m soaked and I grin, caught off guard, it’s true,

life’s little surprises, like blooms breaking through.
