Tangled Mind

I watched the streetlight flicker low,

not quite bright, not fully gone,

trembling in dusk’s uncertain flow.

My mind unraveled, caught, then spun—

what is thinking when silence wins?

Noise and stillness tangled close,

like threads pulled tight and frayed,

the argument’s echo split and froze

inside a head that wouldn’t stay.

Thoughts like shadows, dark and thin,

tumbling, breaking, never in.
