Disconnection

The screen went black, a void in my hand,

a world cut off, like grains of sand.

Lines outside stretching, faces now blurred,

hopes tied to my phone, a silence absurd.

Each second drips slowly, the time creeps away,

questions rush in where my courage won’t stay.

How much we rely on this thin, fragile wire,

and the spark of connection, now lost to the fire.
