Bare Winter

Wrapped tight in my sweater, I feel the chill creep,

sharp air against skin, waking dreams from their sleep.

The collarbone bare, a point of exposure,

as winter breathes heavy, life feels much closer.

Windows fogged over, memories blend,

with every sharp breath, a longing to mend.

Each shiver, a reminder of warmth left behind,

as the frost dances lightly, the heart intertwined.
