Fruitful Moments Over the Sink

Peaches drip nectar, sunlight like sin,

my hands glazed with sweetness, a life worn thin.

The sink stands ready, a basin for crumbs,

as laughter echoes, where summer's joy hums.

Grandma’s bright smile, her hands guiding me slow,

reminding me gently of things I should know.

We bite through the skins, let juices cascade,

while the world fades away in a fruit-laden shade.
