There were no goodbyes, just laughter and light,
a moment suspended in the softening night.
You turned and you walked, the world dimmed around,
while silence crept in, swallowed all the sound.
Beneath the fading sun, shadows grew long,
clinging to echoes of a wistful song.
And I stood there, breath held, as you slipped away,
not knowing tomorrow would steal you away.
The leaves whispered secrets, unwritten, unsaid,
a promise of summer now wrapped in dread.
Each step took you further, a fracture of time,
in the golden haze, we danced with the sublime.
