Soundtrack of Urgency

A siren sings softly, a song in the air,

wrapping the chaos in colors of care.

I stand on the corner, a moment held still,

time stretches thin like a rubber band’s thrill.

The blare rushes forward, pulling me tight,

a thread in the fabric of someone’s dark night.

The bus stop feels heavy, with stories unspun,

while life speeds away, and I’m caught on the run.
