The Weight of Secrets

I sit in the corner, a shadow that sighs,

listening closely to truths in disguise.

Your burdens unfold, woven soft in the night,

a tapestry spun from your fears and your fright.

You don’t know I’m here, in the quiet you speak,

a slip of a moment, a secret that’s bleak.

The wind whispers through the cracked window pane,

I’m caught in the tension, the guilt and the strain.

I ache to speak up, but I’m tied to the ground,

a weight on my heart, where your silence resounds.

It’s not mine to tell, but your words linger still,

a chorus of questions, a haunting chill.
