Rumbling Memories

An old pickup rolls down the cracked street,

a rusted whisper, humming stories untold,

it puffs out clouds like dreams on repeat,

a heartbeat of freedom, and laughter of old.

I remember that time with windows wide open,

the worn leather seats cradled us, wild,

as sunlight spilled gold, shadows unbroken,

voices soared high, hearts unbent, unbeguiled.

A journey of gravel, of dirt roads and night,

a playlist of memories dancing like fire,

this truck held our secrets, our innocent fright,

reminders of youth, igniting desire.
