Fleeting Glimpse

A photograph stirs like dust in a breeze,

a sunset picnic—laughter hangs in the air.

Yet the warmth fades fast, like a summer’s tease,

and I can’t recall the details we shared.

Faces frozen in joy, but the context is lost,

faded sunlight spilling through worn-out frames.

Where did the time go, what came at a cost?

Moments escape me, still, I remember your name.

I shuffle through albums, tracing smiles of old,

a tactile reminder of a life once bright,

but the edges grow soft, their stories untold,

a photograph’s echo fading into the night.
