Mundane Treasures

With fingers curled around the creases,

I rummaged through chaos, caught in surprise,

old receipts whisper, with faded leases

bound memories linger, a string of goodbyes.

A crumpled wrapper, a love note once real,

a bent keychain, forgotten as time grew,

in the smallest of places, life can reveal

fragments of joy, stitched into the blue.

And there’s something of magic in these random finds,

not quite what I need, but still pieces of me,

a map through the mundane, where clutter unwinds,

a glove compartment holding my history.
