Bound Together

There’s pressure now, heavy as the night,

my chest tightens when secrets slip through,

whispers of stories I try to ignite,

a silent exchange, your truths, and mine too.

Each breath feels like a dance, fragile and fraught,

with memories nestled in curves of my skin.

When you hugged me close, all the fears I fought,

slipped into the spaces, the pain and the din.

I exhale, a wish that my ribs could confide,

all the unspoken, the weight that we share.

In those quiet moments, side by side,

our hearts beat in rhythm, a bond laid bare.
