Lost in Translation

Wabi-sabi, the breath caught in my throat,

like gum on a shoe, can't scrape away,

a moment that blooms in crowded rooms,

a flicker, a buzz, soft as decay.

It slipped through laughter, a hiccup so clear,

dusted in sunlight, the meaning a tease,

something too lovely, too real to be held,

like the glow of a neon sign through leaves.

The warmth in imperfection, echoes confined,

hold onto the beauty in what can't be said,

yet here I sit, tracing shadows on glass,

searching for words that just hang in my head.
