Lines of Vulnerability

Dressed in this fabric that hugs and constrains,

my collarbone peeks through, a place where love wanes.

It’s a fragile reminder, an echo of skin,

that softness is buried where strength has been thin.

The mirror reflects back what I often deny,

this beauty in brokenness, my whispers in sighs.

And there’s something about it, this line that divides,

a threshold of wanting, where longing resides.

In moments of doubt, when I pull at the seams,

I remember my heart and the weight of my dreams.

So I stand here, exposed, both terrified and bold,

this collarbone naked, where stories unfold.
