Fleeting Shadows

I caught the light through branches bare,

shadows flickered, thoughts had grown.

A voice, a friend, in casual care

speaking of vanishing, flesh like stone.

Some days I want a silent flight,

a quiet absence from this din,

where whispers pulse, but don’t ignite—

a restless heart, pulled thin within.

The world feels loud like jagged glass,

but still I linger on this edge,

seeking places where the colors pass,

where shadows dare to make a pledge.
