Decay's Remnants

An attic tin filled with broken clocks and rust,

a childhood toy, chipped paint—that time loses trust.

I hold the old memories, a faded embrace,

where laughter and love intertwine, but leave a trace.

A rusty hinge creaks, echoes trapped in its spine,

reminds me of moments I thought would entwine.

Yet dust settles thick like the thoughts I’ve ignored,

these remnants of joy—fading, corroded, unexplored.

Time may have dulled all the vibrant and bright,

but history whispers in shadows of night.

Each piece tells a story, both cracked and undone,

reminders of youth, what we lose in the sun.
