Unraveled

The storm’s fury came, and the fence was torn free,

splintered wood scattered, my flowers exposed to the spree.

Each gust a reminder, of boundaries I’d made,

yet here I stand, shaken, as memories fade.

The wind whistled secrets through the garden’s lost grace,

while petals lay broken, scattered in disgrace.

What safety can linger when walls are so frail?

the wildness of nature, where order can fail.

Yet each fallen piece tells a tale of its own,

and I gather the shards of what’s left, overthrown.

It’s a lesson in loss, in trust turned to dust,

as I patch up the gaps, rebuild what I must.
