A balloon just let go I feel it I choke

A balloon just let go, I feel it, I choke,

like silence settles deep as the laughter is broke.

Chest tightens sharply, as if the air’s thick,

what ghosts hold my breath? What time plays its trick?

In a crowded room, though I'm trying to speak,

the weight of the silence is heavy, unique.

I dance with the chaos, but where is the joy?

these walls suffocate, am I still just a toy?

This moment, a pressure that blooms in my lungs,

reminds me of childhood and all of the tongues

that whispered sweet secrets but fell into night,

where words hit the wall, and I’m fading from sight.
