Fragments of Dinner

Dinner’s almost here, the kitchen breathes

a familiar warmth, the air heavy with spice,

I glimpse the chipped plate, its cracks

like veins running through a leaf,

each fragment a memory of laughter shared,

crumbs of yesterday's stories stick,

not perfect, yet here, a testament to us—

somehow beautiful in its age,

a tapestry of moments worth repeating.
