Rainfall Reverie

I stood by the window, watching rain pound,

a symphony of droplets, their rhythm profound,

a promise made to feel each drop that kisses

the pavement below, where the chaos glistens.

Thunder rumbles, a heart in the storm,

and I breathe in the scent, each moment transforms,

chaotic yet cleansing, washing away fears,

like a cleansing flood, it’s hard to hold back tears.

The street reflects lights, a shimmering blur,

windows fogged, in soft shadows, I stir.

Caught in the downpour, I drown in the ache,

a quiet reminder of choices I make.
