The Weight of Closure

The click of a knob, a heartbeat too loud,

it echoes in silence, inside feels like shroud.

A door closes softly, like whispers of pain,

a fracture of trust that leaves only rain.

Moments we shared slip beneath the last crack,

I stand in the shadows, a part of the past.

The breath of the room holds its story so still,

a door closing fast, no lingering thrill.
