Uncharted Territory

They sit close, sipping coffee, their laughter spills bright,

like sunlight on cobblestones, igniting the night.

Tales of the mountains, the valleys so deep,

a world I imagine, a promise to keep.

They sketch out their journey, the sights and the sounds,

a language unspoken, yet my heart leaps and bounds.

I hear whispers of colors, of skies painted blue,

a country I crave, where dreams feel brand new.

As their stories unfold, my longing it swells,

what lives in my heart, is a longing that dwells.

What if one day, I could find my own way,

in this land of my dreams, where I’d laugh and I'd play?
