Fleeting Fragments

Crumpled in a pocket, a bitter surprise,

a photograph tucked where forgotten time lies.

We’re caught in a moment, smiles wide as the sea,

yet now they’re just ghosts—who were you to me?

Days of laughter now wrapped in regret,

holding the weight of a love I can’t forget.

The smile, once warm, now feels frozen in fear,

a bittersweet relic I wish would disappear.

Every crease tells a story, each fold shows a year,

a photograph hidden that summons a tear.

Sometimes I wonder how love turns to dust,

yet here is the proof—so reckless, so just.
