Gutter Rainbow

Wet asphalt.

Cans, wrappers, grey sludge.

Then, a shimmer.

No grudge.

Just oil slick.

A thin, bright skin

on the surface of the drain.

Where colors begin.

Blue, green, violent red.

A brief, liquid eye.

Then a truck wheel

and it's gone, passing by.
