Smallest Flame

No reservation, no loud

applause. Just the kitchen light

too bright.


A single slice, cheap cake.

From the store. My own hand

did the bake.


One candle, thin white wax,

dripped fast. Like time it went.

No tax

or obligation. Just quiet.

My best one, no fuss.

No riot.
