The velvet rope, a line.

My small hand slipped, a quick design.

Cool metal met my fingertip,

a stolen touch, a silent trip.

No one saw, no voice cried out.

Just quick withdrawal, and sudden doubt.

My cheeks burned, a secret held.

A quiet thrill, a world rebelled.
