A house that holds ghosts

Walls stand bare, where laughter once sang,

now silence hovers, a mournful refrain.

The living room echoes, a void now complete,

as if the absence of warmth

has hardened the seat.

A single nail remains, where a photo once hung,

remnants of joy, where memories sprung.

I walk through the shadows, say one last goodbye,

to the house that held dreams,

a home where we cried.
