Questions I Can’t Speak

The screen glows like a lantern in the depth of the dark,

questions unbidden, each click leaves a mark.

3 AM whispers, a fear in the night,

searching for answers that don’t feel quite right.

I typed my secret, in silence it crept,

things I would bury, the thoughts that I kept.

A heart heavy, hidden, like shadows that fall,

and the world feels too big when you’re feeling so small.

The harsh light illuminates worries unvoiced,

casting reflections on choices, no choice.

Each answer a spiral, each click brings a chill,

as I grapple with questions I cannot fulfill.
