The sunset drapes like velvet across my room

The sunset drapes like velvet across my room,
shadows gather, chasing away the gloom.
I found that dress, folded in the dark,
a remnant of laughter, a forgotten spark.
Soft against skin, a caress I can’t place,
it holds the scent of a long-lost grace.
Each thread woven with moments we spun,
a whisper of sweetness when days were fun.
Now I trace seams, with fingers like ghosts,
recalling the nights when we felt like hosts.
But the fabric has faded, the colors run dry,
leaving only shadows where memories lie.
