Where Are You?

I looked to the sky, dark clouds in a dance,

searching for answers, for some kind of chance.

A thunderstorm brews, but silence remains,

as the weight of the world pools like rain on the panes.

Do you hear my heart pounding? Can you feel this despair?

The air’s thick with questions, but you’re never quite there.

An empty park bench, where hope used to sit,

with a memory of laughter, now cloaked in a split.

Each droplet a tear for the faith I can’t find,

as I reach for the heavens, though they’ve left me behind.
