Jammed Reflections

Brake lights glow like stars,

in the night of my crowded mind,

illuminating worries that merge and unwind,

the cars inch forward, a heavy procession,

while I sit trapped in this moment’s confession.

The hum of engines, a lullaby,

in the lull of lines on asphalt gray,

each second stretches like my patience,

yet in the stillness, I sift through the fray,

where thoughts pile up like the metal ahead,

craving release, desperate for what’s unsaid.

I catch my breath in the rhythmic sways,

as wipers brush away yesterday's rains,

and suddenly clarity pools in the noise,

like glimpses of freedom in endless delays.

#inner turmoil #longing for freedom #patience #traffic jam #urban isolation
