Shoes — The Pair You Wore

These shoes are a map of every path taken,

a canvas of struggles, worn thin and shaken.

Mud-caked and tired, each step has its tale,

through sidewalks of sorrow, down roads that feel frail.

I walked far from comfort, from all that felt right,

with laces untied, chasing dreams through the night.

They’ve carried my heart through each winding round,

but now they just sit, half-buried in ground.
