Shadows of the Past

The basement whispers, its damp scent ascends,

a musty reminder of where childhood ends.

Rich with the echoes of laughter long gone,

where treasures lay hidden, in shadows, withdrawn.

Each whiff brings the weight of forgotten fears,

a tapestry woven of laughter and tears.

The stone walls remember the games that we played,

but now they sit silent, in darkness, delayed.
