Under the Highway

Three nights of wakefulness twist in my skull,

under the highway, where shadows grow full.

Puddles reflecting the flicker of light,

my heart races on, chased by the night.

Rain falls in bursts, a chaotic refrain,

whispers of thunder—relentless, insane.

Each step feels like sinking, each breath like a sigh,

this sleepless abyss, where the lost seem to cry.
