Silent Echoes

Beneath the moonlight, the swings creak low,

a playground abandoned, where shadows grow.

Once filled with laughter, now silent and stark,

a place where memories linger, lost in the dark.

Rusting metal glimmers, echoes of play,

a world full of secrets, where children once sway.

The ghost of a laugh hangs thick in the air,

as darkness wraps softly around dreams laid bare.

Each step on the gravel feels heavy and slow,

footprints of joy that once danced in a row.

Now, only the wind plays a haunting refrain,

a playground of dreams lost, a soft, sweet pain.
