Stalled Journeys

In the rain, my car sputtered, a cruel twist of fate,

stranded alone, with no path to create.

The streets turned to rivers, my tires lost grip,

a moment of stillness, a pause in the trip.

The engine went quiet, just whispers of sound,

like echoes of laughter that once were around.

The raindrops collected, dark pooling near,

secrets from journeys now lost in the drear.
