Private Posture

In the corner of my room, I curl into stillness,

a slouch that wraps around me like an old friend,

you’d never know the thoughts that fulfill this,

a fortress built where the echoes blend.

My legs crossed, coffee cup cooling on the floor,

steam rises and fades, like dreams in the night,

a safe space where I'm both seen and ignored,

a quiet embrace in the soft, dim light.
