Caught in the Light

This morning, the sun threw open its hands,

a beam revealing particles, hidden strands.

A ceiling fan, forgotten in its flight,

dust gathers like memories lost in the night.

I stand beneath it, caught in the glow,

the stillness around me begins to slow.

Each fleck, a whisper of what once was clear,

a film of neglect, heavy with fear.
